MEET THE MAN OF GOD, PREACHER, TEACHER, COUNSELLOR, MISSIONARY, REV. CALEB TERNGU NYIYONGO DR-FIGPCM, CGPA, CPCP.

BIRTH AND PARENTAGE

Rev Caleb Terngu Nyiyongo was born to the family of Late Pa. Nyiyongo and late Ma. Adooinumbe Nyiyongo on 3^rd April, 1969 as a child of great fortunes who will lead many astray souls back to God. Though the last of six siblings, destiny held that it was this last child of Pa. Nyiyongo that God will use to bring succour not just to the immediate family but to his contemporary society. He grew up under the watch of his parents who taught him Christ crucified and discipline. He grew up as a disciplined child with good manners which endeared him to the larger family and community.

EDUCATION

As to his educational attainment, Caleb attended NKST Primary School Igber for his first leaving certificate in 1981 though his brilliance led his teacher Joseph Ayisa who advised he should leave in primary five for secondary school. He did and attended the prestigious NKST Secondary School Korinya where he got his secondary school certificate in 1986. He then proceeded to Federal School of Arts and Sciences Ogoja for his Higher School Certificate (HSC) in 1990. After some years of teaching job, he answered God’s call to study His Divine Words. He enrolled into the Reformed Theological Seminary Mkar where he bagged a Bachelor of Theology Degree (BTH) in 1990.

The quest for diversity in knowledge took him to Gideonites School of Technology for a Diploma in Computer Training in 2008. He later enrolled at Rhema Mission Education Ministry where he got a Diploma in Computer Studies in 2010. In 2015 he bagged a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the National Open University of Nigeria/NTI. Again Caleb in 2018 graduated at Reformed Theological Seminary Mkar with a Master of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies majoring in Old Testament. Not only that, he went in and got a Post Graduate Diploma in Peace, Security Studies and Criminology PGD PSSC in 2022 and another professional Post Graduate Diploma in Global Peace Keeping and Diplomacy in 2022. To crown it all he is currently pursuing his Doctorate Degree of Philosophy (Ph.D.) with the Dynamic Theological Seminary Nigeria in affiliation to Harvest Bible University, California, USA.

WORKING EXPERIENCE

 He has served in different capacities at different places.

 1991-1995 He taught at City Model School Korinya City.

1997-1999 Lectured at RTS Mkar Women School

 1999-2001 Taught at NKST Secondary School, Wuese

2001-2004 Chaplain and Teacher at NKST Secondary School Korinya City his Alma matter

2003-2004 he was Assistant Pastor NKST Church Kwar.

 2004-202 He is pastoring NKST Gbe in Ushongo LGA, Benue State, Nigeria

 He has served the church in many capacities. He has served on several Church Boards; Sunday School Board, Youth Ministry Board where he is currently the Chairman of the Board. The gallant Reverend gentleman has so much in his achievement box ranging from bringing many to Christ, initiated and completed Church projects, established consistories and churches by God’s Special Grace. He is a great counsellor.

Rev. Caleb Terngu Nyiyongo is a member of these professional bodies; Teachers’ council (NTC), a Doctoral Fellow with the Institute of Global Peace and Conflict Management (IGPCM). He has the Global Peace Icon Award to his honour and Seven other Awards for Good Leadership, Humanitarian, Competence and Dedication to work.

Rev Caleb is happily married to Atese Patience Erdoo Nyiyongo, God has blessed their marriage so much. They have two beautiful girls and two handsome looking boys. The boys and girls by God’s grace are God fearing and committed to worship and education.

His hobbies include reading, teaching, counselling, travelling and watching sports/games.
